For those of you that are using Photoshop (or any of the Adobe products) to create an ad
we have here a template for you to use for creating a correctly sized page for our magazines.

If you are a professional who builds advertising for a living or someone who is creating an ad as a hobby,
here are guides that you will need to follow for making an accurate ad to run in The Real Estate Book®.

bulletDownload the template above. (It is a pc file but will open with no problems on a mac)
 
bulletIt has four layers which you will need to be aware of when building your page.
1.  White: This is the layer representing a FULL BLEED. Either color or image, it has to go to the edge.
2.  Blue: This is the TRIMED PAGE. The actual printed page size, bleed only in this area.
3.  Red: The LIVE AREA of an ad. Do not place any of your text or logos outside the LIVE AREA.
4.  Gray: Size of a HALF PAGE AD for
The Real Estate Book®.
 
bulletHere are the settings that you need to follow for building your ad.
1.  Build the ad with the color mode as CMYK.
     (These are the document settings)
 
bulletSave your ad as a pdf file.
 
bulletPrint a color visual of your ad with crop marks. You need to look for problems before you give us the ad. How to print a visual with crop marks in Photoshop.
 
bulletEmail the pdf file to your sales rep.
If you are concerned about the ad, burn the pdf file and your Photoshop document (and all images) to a CD.
Get the CD and a color visual (with crop marks) to your sales rep. ASAP.
The sooner we get the files, the sooner we can help make sure you get the ad you want printed.
